Professional Bass Angler Matt Becker just finished his seventh season with Major League Fishing and his second season on the Bass Pro Tour. Winning the 2017 Toyota Series Tournament on 1000 Islands was the game-changer for Becker: allowing him to transition to the Pro Circuit Level – a lifelong dream come true. He had an accomplished first year winning the Rookie of the Year Award. In 2019 and 2020, Becker finished top in the AOY standings — 14th and 4th place respectively. In 2021, Becker clinched his first national win at the MLF Pro Circuit Tournament on Lake Murray, taking home $135,000 and a new piece of hardware. That same year, he also won Angler of the Year in the Northern Division of the Toyota Series. In 2022, Becker hit another milestone goal, finishing 5th in the AOY standings, he qualified to fish the Bass Pro Tour for the 2023 season. In his rookie year on the Bass Pro Tour, Becker proved to be one of the most versatile and excellent northern anglers to hit the big leagues finishing his first season at the top in points and winning the Bally Bet Angler of the Year Award! His victory at Stage Seven on Saginaw Bay solidified his top spot and gave him his second national title! The 2023 season was definitely one to remember but Becker didn't stop there - he, along with his team mates, won the General Tire Team Series to end the year strong! In 2024, Becker wrapped up his second season on tour 9th place in Angler of the Year standings, qualifying again for both the Heavy Hitters and REDCREST Championship Tournaments!
